The Tom Caruso Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to assist full-time National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) member auction or corporate office employees, their children, step-children, and grandchildren who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Your support of the fund helps those students and honors the memory of Tom Caruso.

Tom Caruso passed away in December 2021, leaving a 40-year legacy of leadership, dedication, and innovation across ADESA, KAR Global, and the entire automotive industry.

From his start in 1980 as Concord Auto Auction Fleet Manager, Caruso’s successful career and leadership qualities led him to become Executive Vice President of ADESA where he oversaw half of the company’s U.S. – based operations. He was then promoted to ADESA Chief Operating Officer and then ADESA President and CEO in 2009. Caruso served as NAAA President in 2006 and was inducted into the NAAA Hall of Fame in 2012. He retired in March 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Client Officer for KAR Global.

Created in Caruso’s memory, the Tom Caruso Memorial Scholarship Fund is part of the NAAA Warren Young, Sr. Scholastic Foundation, Inc.
