
The application is open from February 16, 2026, through April 15, 2026, or until available funds are disbursed.
Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded to honorably-discharged student veterans and the spouses or widows/widowers of disabled veterans. The program is funded by Wells Fargo and administered by Scholarship America.
Am I eligible?
You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- You served in the United States military, including Reserves and National Guard, and received an honorable discharge. Spouses and widows/widowers of disabled veterans who meet these criteria may also apply.
- You are a high school or GED graduate, current post-secondary undergraduate or graduate level one student.
- You have used any military education benefits for which you are eligible.
You are enrolled in in full-time undergraduate or graduate study for a first-time associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited two- or four- year college or university or vocational-technical school for the entire academic year. - You
attend a college that is not on warning or probationary status with the federal government and not in litigation with the federal or a state government. - You ave a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
- You are facing unexpected financial difficulties which may impact your continued enrollment in your degree program.

What documentation is required?
Certificate or letter of Eligibility from the Department of Veterans Affairs or DD214 or other document of service stating “Honorable Discharge” - A current course schedule
- Documentation of an eligible expense
