Hello Volunteer
As scholarship providers, we are all dedicated to protecting and handling personal information with care and respect. An integral part of that protection includes removing records that are no longer accessed or needed for reporting purposes.
As of September 1, 2020, we will be permanently deleting the following records from ChapterNet. If you would like to retain this information locally, please download any relevant data within the next week.
All Applicant Records in the Historical Archive from 2013 and earlier.
The Historical Archive stores a static copy of what the student’s application looked like when it was archived. Removing archived records from 2011 – 2013 will not affect archived records from 2014 and after, and it will not affect the student’s live record, which can be found on the Applicants page in ChapterNet.
If your chapter’s data retention policy outlines a different retention schedule for this data, you will need to download these records individually and save them in a secure location.
Inactive Student Accounts – Matched to Dollars for Scholars
We will be deleting inactive student accounts that meet two sets of specific criteria:
- Inactive student accounts that were registered and matched to at least one Dollars for Scholars but never logged in or matched to any scholarships.
- Inactive student accounts that matched to at least one Dollars for Scholars, logged in at least once but not in the past 4 years, never matched to a scholarship, and their high school graduation year is before the current graduation year.
Again, these records identified above will be permanently deleted on September 1. Active student accounts will not be affected.
We encourage you to use this time to review and download any information from these two categories as you deem necessary to keep before next week.
Please let us know if you have any questions,
